Great game, 100% recommendable to all SP fans. Don't play the game on standard difficulty though, it'll be a relative walkover.
The whole fuss about the censorship is blown a bit out of proportions though, I mean who cares about consoles, they're mostly used by children so obviously children rules apply, majority rules
Fact is that all
PC versions in Europe except for the German version is _NOT_ censored.
“Only the North/South American one is completely uncensored on every platform,” the source wrote. “The Australian one is censored on all platforms, the European and Russian ones are censored on console only, and the German one is censored on console for anal probing etc, and censored on both console and PC for cute puppies, Heil einstein arm salutes, etc. To avoid a ‘Hot Coffee’ type situation, the 20-second-or-so gameplay/cutscene is removed completely from the disc and replaced with the screen you see at the link (times six more 20-second scenes).
The question is why that seeing someone getting "probed", in a hugely comical way, drawn as a cartoon, by alien creatures, is somehow a lot worse than the liters of blood, guts, brain goo, face to face execution style moves and what not these console kids are virtually bathing in daily, not that this is a problem though in my opinion
but in context it seems outrageous. Medieval thinking.
