I think the reason why people play some video games is that they want to enjoy the otherwise dangerous experience without being affected by negative outcomes and conditions.I mean, why the fuck would I play games like tekken while feeling every hit my in-game avatar suffers?
Because immersion is a part of the enjoyment,Also the "negative" outcome could be very minor as long as the pain we talk about is a minor one, doubling immersion for some tingling sensation or something alike doesnt seem a bad idea.
Maybe a tingle to tell you what direction a bullet came from, but pain? People disable FOG because it causes them too much pain.
Maybe they could sell different versions of games. One, The Little Girl Edition where there's no pain, and two, the Real Men Edition where you feel pain.
