Italian sword or Nordic Champion?

What is the best sword for a 1h shielder between italian and champion?

If you're in a Nordic themed clan I'de say Nordic champion sword and if Italian themed clan i'de say Italian sword. Other than that it's more upon how much you value you're stab. I would say Nordic champion personally because I don't stab a lot in comparison.

Don't think it makes a huge difference. I'd probably use the Italian for the extra stab damage and its cheaper

IMO nordic war sword is the best sword in the game

weapons do their maximum damage at the very end of the weapon, meaning that if you have a champion sword (102 length), you'll do a lot of damage at the very end of the weapon but very little up close.

you spend the majority of your time fighting under 102 length, therefore i think the 95 length nordic war sword is the best sword in the game (high cut, speed, good length, model is not amazingly easy to see).

Nordic War Sword is very good (it's my actual sword). But Take the Champion's if you ride a horse.

good question. i think it depends on your style. both swords very good swords IMO, maybe the best in the 1h armory.

I think the Italian sword is the best sword all round; speed, length and damage. I have used the Italian in 100+ battles. I "upgraded" it to a champions sword because I needed the extra length for when mounted. I didn't go for a 105 length sword because those are rather slow and abit too long for clusterfights. however, not long after I had the champions sword made, I sold my horse.  I kept the sword due to financial issues and its not bad at all, eventho I do prefer an Italian sword. I do benefit from the extra length on the battlefield but I must admit I also carry an axe for those closerange clusterfights.

for stabbing id pick long esp.

I actually always preferred the Arabian Guard Sword, I guess
its an awesome 1h sword as well, try it.

If you know how to 1h stab, go for the LEE. Preferably at +3 and with a lot of PS, otherwise the swings are a bit too risky.

if you think the cav sword is the best 1h you must be blinded by love its by far the best 1h, it only comes to its right when you are mounted, once dismounted and in semi-cluster or hard cluster fighting you are phucked. also stabs are terrible

of course you can do like all the 2h: run around and dodge arrows till first half of round is over, then start to find stragglers and in end, zerg
