This is a one man project basically. My friend made these technical death metal songs and spent countless of hours recording and mixing this ep. Even made the cover art himself (which looks awesome imo). He only had another friend coming over to record the bass.

I like Raubtier alot in general, the voice of the lead singer and the special accent of his Swedish (coming from near the border to Finland) are just awesome. I don't take their stuff too serious, though, I find them rather amusing ;-)
This song in particular easily deserves a 8.5 of 10.
 
Let's move on with some Insommnium, easily my fav song they've made:

I give that one a 7/10, but I think a cover of it could be even better.
I liked that they took their time to do a slow build. Some bands like to jump from slow to fast/soft to hard, but this was more of an escalator to its peak, which I liked a lot. The verse being mixed with actual singing and the growling was a nice touch. I thought it worked pretty well. The reason it didn't get an 8 from me is I really dislike the monotone growling for the chorus. I prefer some outstanding singing over what I feel has been an overused gimmick for a very long time.
