I think it would, if it introduced more options for making errors. One of my dislikes about M&B attack/block is that at high levels, it's too easy to stay unharmed in melee vs melee, also called block fest.

I think this is at the same time a curse and a blessing. It makes high skill duels longer and more intense, while it also makes ganking very powerful.

No, what makes ganking powerful in cRPG is:
  • general slowdown
  • reduced speed gain from athletics
  • implementation of ground/objects collision

Before these changes, it was really easy to kill five or more opponents on your own. I know, because I used to do it all the time.

Leshma, no offense, but you used to do it when 70% of the cRPG playerbase was still in the noob zone. cRPG was always slow.

Longer yes, intense not really, at least for me. Speaking of duels here, I got bored after 30 seconds - 1 minute of blockfest and then just started spamming because I wanted to end the duel no matter the result.

Theh, Jedi Outcast II and Jedi Academy :>

I loved it how the people in Outcast II Multiplayer often gathered up in a circle and watched 2 guys duel each other :)

Hehe yeah, a lot of FFA servers were used exclusively for chatting and dueling. People just hung out in the Bespin Streets chatting, while some were dueling in the middle or on the platform. It was nice see and the community was really strong.

Is the multiplayer still active ? A good while since I played academy MP but I remember there being quite a few servers.
