I'd like to know if the next iteration of strategus will be fun or not to see if it would be worth it to bring back LLJK.

I determine fun by how much you have to grind playing c-rpg for "ticks" (unfun) and how many battles are fought against angry weeaboos (fun). In my opinion it should be kept separate except for the fact that strategus battles happen using c-rpg game mechanics and characters (which can be STF if you so choose.)

It was really unfun when you had to play c-rpg and strategus all day and ignore things like jobs, education, family, friends, and hygiene.

I have been reading forums for some time. Most common statements i saw were those:

1. cRPG is dead (since mod-is-dead is censured)
2. Strat needs a lot of fixing cus its broken.

From those 2 premisses i can conclude 1 thing.

Strat 5.0 will never happen.

I voted all 4 because I could, but really, I would like to know if its really gonna happen in January, and not see the months pass without even a delaying warning.

But I'm confident there is still many January's days to come, we should have an announcement soon.

long crpg experience has taught me that the new strategus will be released with no warning, on a wednesday night at 2:34 am, half way through april, with 30 new features, half of which are broken and half of which are pointless.

we will then be promised a patch for this which will drop ~~ september 2015 some time, which will be followed a week later by the pause and reset of strategus for the new round ..

.. oh well

I generally don't like surprises... Crpg patches are proof of this. Then again it would be pretty funny to see a strat start where everyone starts at the same spot. Hunger games style
