This mod over here (cinematic compilation) does crpg justice. Some of you might want to try it:

Suggestion credits go to Tot. Here is his thread of mods compatible with crpg:

Sweet!! looks better then that pee screen thingy in the OP
I've never played a server where people split up as much or as often as on EU1.  No wonder range is having a field day.

Looks like a simple gamma filter, though that often does make a lot of games look much better, Just Cause 2 for example.

You can though obtain the same effect (with way less resources spent) using something as simple as f.lux for a lot of games: http://justgetflux.com/

f.lux is a great little program, helps a lot with reading at evening hours etc by regulating the light on your screen.
default settings were too colorful and shiny , i don't like to play world of warcraft
there were added bloom + hdr + vignette if i'm not wrong but you can edit the txt file as you wish , just open crpg , open the txt file , edit , , save , alt-tab and see the instant result.

My only beef with the cinematic mod, is that my norman shields have become total dark grey, an the colour is gone  :?:

Anyone have a fix for this  :?:

No idea, as I never ever used a shield. You may want to ask in Tot's thread. They try to work out small issues like this there.

Only problem i've encountered with Cinematic mod and Realistic Colors is the skyboxes can look a bit blinding at times and if you turn down HDR then your sweet looking equipment will look less shiny :(
