Imo the "trick" to be more accurate is in having a high PT level, i found that throwing weapons fly much faster and straighter with high PT. If you want to be more accurate, imo is better to have high pt, rather than having lower PT but with more wpf in throwing. About 1 month ago i made a STF character with 10 pt, i was amazed by the flying speed of the stuff i was throwing(Jarids), it was much easier to hit enemies at mid-long range and also moving targets.
Imo jarids with 7 PT are quite accurate and fly pretty fast(damage is quite good too), even 5PT ( the requirement to use them) is not bad, but imo 7PT is better and you can still use a decent body armor. Nvm, i'm not sure anymore about that
If you plan to make a build with low wpf in melee, I would suggest to put your wpf in polearm and use throwing lance as melee weapon, it's one of the fastest polearm(102 speed rating), same stats of the shortened spear, but the stab of the throwing lance deals 1 more pierce damage than the shortened spear
