This man, police officer Dmitry Makovkin, managed to prevent the deaths of many others by shielding them from the blast.  He died instantly, and his actions saved the lives of many others. 
Those who worked with Makovkin said he had a perfect record and was a kind soul. 
I wanted to bring this to imgur's attention because in the past few days after the attack, I didn't see anything about him on imgur, and think it would be a shame for such a heroic man to not have this deed recognized.
