When a britmy old friend talks about beauty of women one doesn't even need to open the spoiler.
Do you honestly think you have any sort of moral authority, Reyiz? Go genocide some more armenians and deny it ever happened, please, and stay in the middle east.

The "persian" navy was mostly phoenician, possibly the most dominating influence on the medditerrannean in the ancient world alongside greeks and pre-roman empire...They were pretty good sailors. Thing is massive invasion fleets are much more vulnerable to storms than an individual trading ship would for example, because they need to mantain a semblance of formation, with ships of varying sizes and speeds. And they were nominally under the command of persians who indeed were never known for their sailing acumen, i.e they treated naval tactics the same as they would land formations.

Cut him some slack, the heroin skank look ain't for everyone, though judging from the popularity of Kate Moss across the pond, both the Brits and Frenchies can't get enough

It has Eva Green in it so i will definetely watch it, i don't care how trashy it will be.
I'm assuming you've seen that really wierd film set in paris where she is pretty much naked throughout the entire film (seriously).

Tbh, I feel that 300 treated quite unfairly. It's an action flick, but quite a good one.

People should be raving on the truly shitty movies. Anyone who thinks 300 is a historically accurate movie is a moron, though, and anyone who gets mad about other people believing that rival their stupidity.

You're really underestimating how uninterested in history the vast majority of people are. For many literally the only things they know about Sparta, spartans or the persian empire of the time is cobbled together from that dumb fucking movie. I've already gone into depth about Miller's political stances in other threads and how it affected his portrayal, no need to rehash it again. Suffice to say it's basically political propaganda, and if you think it's just a massive coincidence that shit like this is getting released simultaneously with other political propaganda painting Iran as evil and depraved in 24 hours news cycles, not to mention the obvious West vs East symbolism, then you're the idiot.

Why do you think people are uninterested in history? And so what that there are people who only know about the timeperiod only thanks to that movie? This clearly means they knew absolutely nothing before watching it. Mybe they even learned a single actual true fact. And there are historical movies for people who are interested in actual history. Nobody watches 300 for the history. We watch it cause the CGI is impressive and the quotable moviematerial is hilarious. Some stuff is just purely made for entertainment, or slight ammount of propaganda in this case. Ive slightly read some of Millers stuff aswell and ye the man is completely mental. But why should that take away the enjoyment of looking at the impressive visuals.

300 is one epic movie and amongst my favorites,  and a second part could have been epic.
The trailers here however turn me off greatly,  seems like a shallow wannabe of what 300 is,  with more oompf but not nearly the mood.

more is not always better,  meh :'(

Yeah this really gets at this question I want to ask... why would they go with naval action? It looks far inferior to the kicking-persian war-elephant slaughtering shield formation charging action of its predecessor. Though looks can be deceiving.

To be fair, I'll wait to see it to cast my final opinion of this movie. The last thing I want to do is misinform or charge without due reason.

No Gerard Butler= meh.

There now you'll be happy.
