That looks bloody fantastic! I wish I could draw a spiffy avatar for myself.


This is what I drew for the Black Company Banner before people decided against it.

I'm not normal and I don't pretend so, my approach is pretty much a bomb crescendo.
Death is a fun way to pass the time though, several little bullets moving in staccato.
The terror of my reign will live on in infamy, singing when they die like a dead man's symphony.

Thanks! I think this one turned out better than my own avatar tbh :D.

Well... If it was easy everybody would be doing it, right? :wink: I'm still a noob compared to Munin! My method is simple. Draw some shit to paper, draw it again with ink pen, scan it and then just mess around with colors etc until it looks decent enough.. I'm sure you could do better than that banner :).

I think I spent from 7 to 8 hours with Miralay's avatar and I still know what I could do to make it look better... Just decided to stop for now. I might get better equipment for coloring soon (drawing tablet) and try that out on these two drawings.

Looking at that picture i would say he based himself from a screenshot ingame, using a program such as photoshop, or paint.. he added colors  ect. (i may be wrong  :oops:)

Anyway i tend to sketch some basic body form, from RL pics, ingame screenshots, ect... Then scan it, add textures, shadows, ect via Adobe illustrator, basing myself on ingame footage and voila! (i may be the only one on earth who does this  :mrgreen:)

Took a screenshot of a game and then used a shitload of MSN Paint like a god damn boss. No textures.

Took an in-game screen, and played around on paint.NET focusing on a few parts at a time using multiple layers. Another good free program is GIMP. Drawing by hand then scanning would be easier I think. At least, it would look better.  :P

Probably the second one. Faces are quite troublesome to do, especially in a mouse-required program.
