Shoots into a clusterfuck, hit the only ally.

This happened to me so many times... what's funny, is that the awesome melee ally in the middle will report you, since he definitely had a chance to survive, and kill them all.

I believe you still forget a few, but i don't know how to meme, not my generation :

Dehorse an ennemy cav coming from the back,
get raped in melee by it, since all your allies are charging and didn't notice it.

Dehorse an ennemy cav very close to you,
get teamkilled by melee ally.

Succesfully hit an ennemy engaging an ally three successive times,
watch the ally continuing his journey, and leaving you alone. To die by cav/ninjas.

I've fired into a melee fray and hit a friendly so many times that now I actually AIM FOR THE FRIENDLY in hopes of hitting the enemy instead. :)

I blame the icon over the head of allies. Its a big, shiny target.

Seriously, go die
1H stab is the fastest, strongest and longest 1H animation. There's no reason NOT to use it in all instances. I don't know if it's OP, but it's boring. 1H used to be fun because you had a fast (left), long (right) and the most devastating attack (stab) and had to choose the best attack for each occasion.

The weird thing is... being in dangerous situation doesn't make it less frustrating to get shot by teammate.
No sense in reporting though, anyway.

its not only about playing a class, its about how you do it.
srsly, you can play each class pussy or action style ... tbh, melee can be fucking boring aswell ... depending on how you play it (somnetimes depending on your opponent)- and, how you do it, depends on your attitude towards it :P

btw: nice topic, i can relate , after starting playing this game as archer and having an archery (atm HA) alt around pretty much all the time ^^

I know that very well.

I just find it funny to get reported when you make one mistake, and to not get "aknowledge"(i know i typed this wrong... ) at all when you actually saved a teammate.
Save a teammate : Teammate : "Nevermind, he's just doing his job. Next melee kill."
Shoot the teammate afterwards, in a clusterfuck, because he decided to sidestep in between, knowing there was range support : "WTF, DIE RANGE my old friend. BAN 11111111"

I don't advise shooting into melee though, clearly not, but the reaction of most players when that situations happen is just.... meh.
One of the reason i'm thinking of going xbow, though i hate those : you can take all your time to aim, to wait, and rarely miss. Never teamhit.

I still remember when I was re-leveling an archer.
Joined the battle server finally able to use a bow.
Support the melee in the charge.
Enemy charges
Team takes five steps back
too slow to run
die horribly
team re-engages

Yes, been posted before. Rather than practicing swinging a weapon, it would be better to go 1 hander and learn a martial art that specializes in takedowns, because that's all that really matters in that sport.

How the fuck can you expect a teammate not to move in a clusterfuck?
