This is going to be the unpopular opinion but I am used to voicing that now:

When you really think about it, do new armours actually make the mod more enjoyable? If you look at how much the amount of armours has increased since 3 years a go, you'd think that made the game much more amazing using your logic. In my opinion it has not. I am excited as fuck anytime we get new items, but the novelty quickly wears off and it is just back to the grind after two months. I think the enjoyment of the mod of most players is barely influenced at all by new items when you look at two months after they have been implemented.

In my opinion the thing that is much more important and lasting for diversity and customization and really deserves an implementation attempt is this: http://forum.melee.org/suggestions-corner/colored-armors/
I kind of agree with you, but only when it comes to armors. New armors don't bring much to the table except for looks. Not saying that I don't appreciate new armors, but I am more exicted over new features and such. Weapons on the other hand are different to me because they can actually bring something new to the table in terms of playstyle. Sadly new weapons are rarely added.

Exactly, I said items one time but I do exclusively mean armours, as I think adding new weapons does have a more lasting enjoyable effect.

The fact that Zagibus stuff weren't added really makes me sad, definitely some of the stuff with the most potential we've seen.
1H stab is the fastest, strongest and longest 1H animation. There's no reason NOT to use it in all instances. I don't know if it's OP, but it's boring. 1H used to be fun because you had a fast (left), long (right) and the most devastating attack (stab) and had to choose the best attack for each occasion.

What would make me more happy is to see the old items replaced or improved.

Nordic Warlord Helmet, for example.............. :|

I would donate if someone reworked some of the items so they fit together better (some leg armors can only be used with certain body armors, because bones don't match, also, the mail textures of helmets and some armors clash a lot). Also maybe rework some of the lower quality stuff that's already in. And add new things, too, where they make sense.

I honestly believe that donating to crpg over the site is better spent money. The server we're playing on all day don't come free nor cheap... And chadz clearly stated that money from the new project won't be used for any crpg stuff.

And there are already enough armours around to fit every taste. And re-skins of armour we have is surely something that could be done inside the community...

New stuff will be added with the next item patch numbering along the lines of what is listed above. Not that I'm trying to put a stop to the OPs goals, just thought it was important to state such.

I have 1 request
fix great helmet, I want that neck to be back there.

I enjoy diversity, so i enjoy new armours as well as new weapons. My most played alt is pretty much in a full set of Chinese armor, that was added somewhat recently, love it :)

I only wear armors for looks, stats and prices annoy me. I once wore a set worth 27k with the nordic nobleman outfit and black gauntlets, I still died in 1 hit. :(

Yeah, that'll be fixed with Jarold's version of the helm that caused the problem being added as well.
