You'll kick the new Mustang's ass in the corners... GT-500 Shelby for example. Nearly 500hp but it has live axle instead of independent rear suspension! I just wonder who was the genius who said that's a good idea . That's stone age engineering :D

It's also a stone age price for a 500hp engine on four wheels, that's the american automotive philosophy right there

True 'murrican muscle cars are from the 60's and early 70's. That's only my opinion though... Everything else just seems so meh. Somewhere in the late 70's, early 80's it went totally wrong.

I agree the true ones are from the 60s and 70s, but I also like american cars from the 80s, even though they are very different. Corvettes and Camaros from that time looked uniquely futuristic in pure 80s fashion, but it's evident the champions of that era were the italian manufacturers.

But just look at the -67 Camaro... I mean come on! The 80's versions are dreadful compared to that. I agree Corvettes look awesome, but they lack the looks of a true balls to the wall American muscle car. Also Dodge Viper is one of the newer ones that is decent.

The corvette has to be my favorite. I love almost every Chevy car.
My favorite chevy's, along with the classic camaros, impalas, etc. has got to be the Nova (;

Even the IROC-Z ? Also you can't deny the DeLorean DMC-12 is a jewel

I don't like the original Viper that much. It's a pretty unoriginal sports car and they tried (partly succeeded) to fix that in later versions.

As a euromy old friend I would love to drive a true muscle car, probably an old one if I had the choice and if it was practical (it's not). Also if I had the money, as afaik the cost of importing one of these things is brutal even if the car itself is not that expensive.

Quite a lot of euromy old friends are wishing for true american muscle cars these days. I quess when you lived among tuners and germans your entire life, you want different eyecandy.

Muscle cars are really exotic, unlike a Ferrari for example.

Especially compared to IROC-Z, which is probably the ugliest Camaro ever :D.

DeLorean DMC-12 is not exactly a muscle car with 150hp (in reality it's not even that much). Neither is it really American. Suspension from Lotus. Designed by an Italian bloke. Put together in Ireland etc... Cool looking tho, but it's not really a great car otherwise :P

If I could choose... Any car in the world... I'd take this...

(click to show/hide)

...no Camaro, no Camino, no Corvette, Mustang, Cheville or Ford F40 (I'm kinda disappointed nobody mentioned the F40 yet).

When west germany annexed east germany, nobody moved a finger too.

Well I really like the looks of the IROC-Z personally and I just realised there is a GTA equivalent of it (the ruiner)

I forgot to say:

I love the old classic American Muscle Cars. Everyone with just a tad of petrolhead does... how could you not love bigass V8 machines and a sweet looking body work on top.
But make no mistake - for every beautiful American Muscle car is at least one European Classic which is as beautiful as those Americans...

Most beautiful car ever made, and I am with Jeremy Clarkson on this one, is and will probably ever be the Jaguar E-Type. Hence why I would choose of all cars the Eagle Speedster: it's the beauty of the E-Type with the craftsmanship of Maybach and the power of an Ferrari :)
