You only control one ship.

Not completely true, if you skill leadership, and rank up, you can get other Rangers to follow you, and follow your orders.
I forgot how many you can at max, 5 I think.

Yeah, you can get wingmen, but you don't control them. Like you said yourself, you can give them general orders, but they still run on autopilot.

The only times you're directly controlling multiple units are the RTS robot ground missions.

Bump, can't wait a christmas sale on this thing, the original first space rangers was one of my best gameplay experiences as far as free roamers/adventure sandboxes go. So much stuff to do, and very varied.

But 19,99, hot damn. It is a bit overpriced for what it is, reboot of the 'reboot' of the 2nd installment.

Also I keep reading that if you pirate the game as soon as you get out of your planet or space station where you start from, thousands of asteroids will zoom through the system and kill EVERYTHING, and the sun has crazy heat range too. Dat russian troll anti-piracy protection
