Thanks for the info, Bjarky!  And I have read those.  But was unsure if having a horse is beneficial to a majority of battles that the Caravan Guild find themselves in.  And was unsure if from a RP standpoint, they would like us to have a horse (riding) if possible.

If a horse is not needed or beneficial to the Caravan Guild's style of play, I'd love to skip Riding altogether.

If you join, we make a point of keeping your options open. We don't restrict anyone to wearing anything they don't want to, you can even use the crappy samurai armour and no one would bat an eyelid. In a sort of RP way: "We're Merchants and Guards from all walks of life, we come with what we have and build on it, whether your father passed down a sword he found in the middle east or a bow from an Englishman it doesn't matter as long as you make money."

Yeah, I had read the OP, and knew I didn't see any class/equipment restrictions.  But being unsure how battles actually worked in Strategus... I was just uncertain.  I didn't know if being Merchants who travel from town to town... if we'd find ourselves in a lot of battles out in the middle of open plains... where Cavalry has an advantage.

That statement may sound dumb... but as I said, I've not play Strategus.  Thanks again for all the help!  Once I settle in, I hope to submit an application to you guys.  Take care!

It's not dumb, there are loads of things that people don't know and there's no point in laughing at someone who asks a question since if they don't know, they don't know!

I just went back and read the first couple of pages again. It seems we have the same set of active people and the spam we used to have seems to have been a lot more interesting than emote spam! Fear even posted in the first 10 pages! D:

Back when we had Alexander & Bane with their sophisticated garble? We still have intelligence but we're using it less and less to bump... Reasonable explanation is reasonable! :S
