I think the numbers are probably all a bit out of date. Someone made an updated list sometime after that one, but even that will be out of date now I think. The range of a stab might depend on how you move too, and you rarely stab just when standing

I just tested on eu3 warhammer (lenght 65) stab against longsword (lenght 106) left to right swing.
the longsword won. So the given numbers must be a bit wrong.

But in general any 1h sword stab outreaches the twohandsword swing (exept for the flamberge of corse)

IS there anybody who can provide new numbers about the animation effect on reach?

Someone suggested taking a high armour shield and approaching ranged backwards, but Paul is right in that it would be a really bad idea :D

Don't knock it until you try it. Sometimes I put my shield on my back and just stand on a wall with my back facing enemy archers. The angles presented by siege maps mean I am pretty much 100% covered, even though my shield is pretty small (knightly heater).

Projectiles that hit my shield are mitigated by 109 armor, causing no damage to me or my shield but surely causing enemy archers to rage a fit.
