Sure man, i would love if you started leading frisians and instead of plate armor for every ticket you tried to do even a 1 to 1 in peasant gear with no horses - it would be quite humorous to say the least.
The problem with this is that it is nearly impossible because of how NA has equipped themselves with so much strength and the mindset of "if we have more people and more strength then bash heads we win." The thing that would be needed is a group that is willing to do something new. If you have lighter armor your more maneuverable and able to adapt faster. I'll use the village of rebache as an example. If your whole army spreads out evenly around the village you can attack the defenders wherever there weakest, and the mentality of strat at the moment is to put all of your infantry together, this allowing for open areas where a group of attackers could drop a few flags and maybe kill a few stragglers. And the ability for archers to get shots on the backside of shielders.
It's the whole idea of skirmishing the whole time in as many places as possible and to run from a fight that isn't to your advantage.
Although there is too much strength and too many idiots right now to do that.
Edit: an example is that when the apple corps attacked that one AA village, there was a massive amount of defenders on one end of an alley so we poked at a few idiots to the left, have their friends filter in. Or way off to the right near where your last large stand was. Before the last large stand we had skermishing like I was talking about going on, and those people did far better than 2-1. The only time there was major red was when the defenders would push out of their village and exposed their flags.
