Omg nubert you were a peasant yesterday, stop grinding o.0

My build with 30 but i will go back to 2h

Good on horse and on foot using heavy lance and bec de corbin.
I used so much WPF for the extra speed bit to be more successful in cav vs cav duels.
Using OP Sarranid horse ofc, you can run someone down turn around and stab him while he is still getting up... WTF

Strength    18
Agility    18

Weapon proficiency
Polearm    154    10 points per wpf

Skills
Iron Flesh          3
Power Strike      6
Shield               3
Athletics            6
Riding               5
Weapon Master  6
Sacrum Romanum Imperium

Yeah, well you know, that's just like, your opinion, man.

you should max riding and only put 2 in IF... actually i would also put another IF point in shield instead, but that is just my personal opinion - few ppl gree with that

I really rarly use a shield at all, i should have spent those points all in IF and riding.
Shield is only good against 1h/2h cav and those occasions you get hit by archers instead of your horse.

With the ongoing ranged spam, I wouldn't dare riding without a shield. Without it, you are just asking for a crossbower to line up that perfect shot or an archer to arrow you to death.
Don't mind the fish.

Makes you a lot less fucked once they get your horse though.

I'll borrow this thread a little for opinions on my own light cav build, very newb so be gently please. :)

I was planning on going for a build like this:

Str: 18
Agi: 18

All WPP in polearm

Iron Flesh   6
Power Strike   6
Shield      4
Athletics   5
Riding      5
Horse Archery   0
Power Draw   0
Power Throw   0
Weapon Master   6

Viable at all? My first time leveling up a char so I haven't got much clue tbh.

What kinda armor would be good for a build like this? Currently I use leather armor, Red Tassel spear, Kite Shield and a Sumpter horse(total cost 11,598 gold).

Making money for a heavy horseman or buying spiffy shiny doodads or making a bank for strat.

Having a six digit figure in gold is nice.
I'm not normal and I don't pretend so, my approach is pretty much a bomb crescendo.
Death is a fun way to pass the time though, several little bullets moving in staccato.
The terror of my reign will live on in infamy, singing when they die like a dead man's symphony.

Can't seem to make much of a profit if I wear better gear tbh..  :(

Then I highly recommend that you stick with what you are doing, as making a profit with a cheap set is vastly preferable then struggling to get lucky with a break-even set.

Also, it will teach you to become rather deadly, so when you do switch (temporarily or permanently) into a higher gear set you will feel noticeably more powerful.

Yeh I don't feel like I'm performing horribly bad, usually I can keep a 1:1 kd-ratio(or at least close to) although if I get hit twice that usually means I eat the dirty hehe

I've upgraded my horse to a rouncey now though, makes a big difference and I don't use it on all maps anyway so that can be a bit more expensive I guess. How's a Heraldic mail with surcoat and mail hood, boots and mittens for a slightly more expensive gear(About 25k with the horse, 15k without)? That's what I plan to wear once I stop being in need to hoard money.

as a light horsemen your body armor doesnt really matter all that much.  If you charge someone or get lance/speared and are going fast you are pretty much done for anyways.

The only thing body armor is going to do is save you from getting hit by archers, but most are aiming for horse anyways.

The Heavy Lance is vastly superior while on the horseback I've now come to realize.. no wonder I was never able to get the first(and only) hit when facing up against other cavs.

Here's my build for light cav. I'm currently 1h cav, but the wpf could easily be put into polearms for lancing. I really enjoy being quick on the ground as well as on horseback. Doing so means that I have no IF, which I often miss... but the 7 ath/riding is awesome!

Str - 18
Agi - 21

Conv - 8
PS - 6
Shield - 1
Ath - 7
Riding - 7
WM - 2

1h wpf - 123

Fun build that sacrifices wpf and if for excellent ath and riding skill. 123 wpf is enough to not be spammed, with a reasonably speedy weapon.
