Games in general get stale and boring if I'm not high when I play.  It's always been that way.  I mean single player games with stories (like Oblivion) I can do all day without any extra attention helpers.  But first person shooters (which I'm including Warband) I've always needed to be high to maintain my attention span and "try hard" pants for any length of time.  I'm an enhancement smoker, so maybe it's not like that for all smokers. 

Amen to that! Games like CS, BF3, cRPG included, makes me rage instantly if i am not stoned. Every time i get killed, i imagine that scene:

Very unhealthy emotion! Deleted my main 2 year old char, while being in that state of mind. If i have to be sober, i am watching movies, trying to stay away from PC in general.

This DEFINITELY works great.

I took a break of ~ 2 weeks because I started to play another game together with some other Germans. Break means I really didn´t play at all over these weeks (Just checked the forum and crpg char page for nice marketplace offers on some days).

Roughly a week ago I just joined EU1 to have some break from the other game I am playing every day now, and cRPG was fucking awesome again (despite the fact that I was shot in the head by a hx 20 seconds after round start and I raged abit ).

Now I just play cRPG 1 or 2 hours a day, and not every day, and it´s fun again.

I did over 30 gens retiring and tried all the builds and classes possible

I did 8 gens and got burnt out and now only play occasionally after several months of not playing at all. I can't imagine doing 30 gens and ever wanting to touch crpg again. Seriously you need more than a weeks break. More like several months.

Carry sandbags at night to save your city from the fleet, then drink some well deserved beer (you rescued the city, yay!). then play crpg, join blueknight and bobby going naked berserker = fun.

you can't really plan on having fun, but playing less or take a break is most probably a good start.

I like to call cRPG the Heroin Addiction game, since it's absolutely terrible and makes you feel like you're dying, but you have to come back for another fix like your fucking life depends on it.

Stop playing for at least a month or maybe 2, then change something up, whether your class or choice of items.

I recently got really bored of c-RPG. It just so happened to work out that I promptly became too busy with RL things to play anymore. I'm just now coming back after about a 4 month or so break, and I'm actually having fun again!
