That's it, we're out.
I made a bit of a fool out of myself and posted some hasty comments, and I now understand why you'd react in anger to it. Truth be told, I must agree with Keshian. He is often right, although I would prefer that he not be:
To be fair Ravens actually attacked us, they didn't spend weeks roaming around with 1900 man armies except for only one massively failed attack by daruvian (who would trust that guy with an army?).
Also, i will check with the other FCC leaders on your application to join us, but I have a feeling Matey, Bale, Dynamike, Weebo, Holiday and several others are leaning toward a big no. Can't really trust a faction with a guy like daruvian in it. i'll still check though. Much better better chance to get in if you finally dropped him from your faction.
P.S. You can always check with occitan, they did just accept hospitallers and qunicy clan (eu) into their faction and you are really really close with them.
Well at least the first part. Anyway,
As Kesh said, there were very few Frisian troops expended against FCC. Ravens threw in several large armies, and we threw in a couple, one of which was a distinctly foolhardy decision, considering we attempted a sneak attack at a less than ideal battle time. We got our shit slapped by the combination of a very nasty hill and superior mercenary numbers and skill, the second of which resulted directly from our attempt at a sneak attack. I mean, it seemed like a good idea at the time
because Zildjian was a fief owner and he had a largish amount of crates on him. Hell, the crates could have all been rocks or shitty gear for all we knew.
Our Raven friends threw multiple armies without restraint right into FCC and we pattered around waiting for the best time to strike. Well, that time never came and I reckon we've made real jackasses of yourselves. Perhaps more accurately, I made a jackass out of myself. My best defense is that I have been leading all of the Fimbulvetr battles, so I sort of focused on that instead of the strat map, but that's a pretty shitty excuse. It is the best one I have, I guess.
I'm sorry that things turned out like this, and while I will play willing audience to anything you'd like to discuss, I'm not begging you to welcome us back with open arms, but at the same time I would like to take Artyem's suggestion and reconcile our quarrels. The decision is, of course, up to you. You're welcome to refuse us, and you'd be within your rights.
Regardless of what you decide, we'll prove our mettle. We'll throw ourselves upon the Free Companies and prove our mettle. They're quite scary, especially with the recent addition of AoW, HG, and Remnant into them (I do understand that you don't get all of HG/Remnant/AoW to participate on your side, but having several really active people to your faction is a damn good thing.
Nevertheless, we'll take up arms against them in force. If you'd welcome us back, we'll fight them hard. If you don't, we'll do the same. Maybe we'll get our shit kicked in. It seems rather likely we'd get our shit kicked in. Even so, we'll do our best to get folks some fights against a tough foe, and maybe we'll win. I sure hope we'll have fun doing this, and I think we will. If Rhalzo attends our fights, fun will be assured.
Oh, and about that shit I said. Let me try to explain my thoughts on the matter. I think that the strategy that you Raven folks used was faulty; however, I did not contribute to their efforts, nor did I voice my concerns on their strategy. Our armies sort of just meandered around FCC land hoping to get attacked so we could have nice luxurious field defences. My feeling that the improper strategy was used is rendered invalid by my lack of contribution to the effort, as well as poor communication. The idea that your campaign was random and haphazardly organized is patently incorrect. We agreed that their villages were almost universally shit to defend, so we would burn their tickets in the village maps which lend themselves more to attackers than defenders. We fucked up by attacking FCC armies in the field, as did Ravens. I still didn't say shit like "hey guys we should stop", I would be more likely to say "lol fucking fcc gets hills and arbalests goddamnit this sucks get on battalion 1." It really sucks for us that FCC got fearsome hills on their side, but we could have avoided that by taking, holding, and defending a village.
tldr; I fucked up, did relatively little on the strat map against FCC, agreed with some shit in whole when I should have agreed only in part. Ravens battleplan was ineffective, but mine was non-existent. I'd like to get back together with my funbutler bros, but I dunno if they're interested. We're going to go fight FCC now to prove we ain't bitches.
By the way, I'd like to tell Cikel that I wish he didn't quit my internet club, but he's still more than welcome to come back or just play dota with us or some shit. You're a good homie to have around, an all-around solid motherfucker. It'd a damn shame if you packed up your internet bags and split on us.
