I hope it will get enough interest. And I can say that it will, it's just a matter of time before enough people see it.

I'd like to help if you need some help about jobs that do not require much effort. I'd like to help more but I don't have the stamina these days.

By the way, I do not see any reason not to build up teams. I don't want to lead any team but If anyone wants me in their team please pm.

One thing that becomes vital is:

1) The match is in an arena on the map and everyone else is standing outside the arena?
or
2) The match is played out on a map and everyone else is in spectator?

If 1), how big an arena is it? (Makes a big impact!)

if 2), what map(s) are we talking about?

I think it would be wiser for participants only to spawn while others remain in spectator mod unless ofc it doesn't matter how many people are spawned on the map in terms of lags and such. I already wrote somewhere that maybe it should be a medium sized arena with only a few basic cover obstacles so cav doesn't have it easy mode and yet so it doesn't have it impossible either. Same goes for archers: we don't want campfest but a few basic objects for some cover will do, nothing too much. Other option beside arena would be some kind of natural surroundings like a field or something but that too should have some "borders" so the matches don't stretch into nonsense. We want some basic teamplay and tactics followed by bloodshed instead of watching soap operas and camp festivals. 

As for the server: unfortunately I don't have much friends among the Overlords so I don't know if its possible to borrow one of the official servers for a few hours, one that is not used much. That would be the best option.

Thread needs making, map needs making (i think one of the GK's would do with some modifications, date and time are easy: any weekend in may or june, admins are easy: we need one guy in charge and I'm sure Pancake, Crymoar, Teutten and Molly will be enough to keep everything in order. 
Basically we need a strong person to hit his fist against the desk and say: lets do it !

In my experience as referee in Tueten's Tournament, only have the people spawned who are up for the next match is the way to go.

At the end we had issues with people becoming impatient and teamkilling each other for lolz. Which made everyone else go all nervous.

The idea of having real chars watch the fights from some balcony is nice, and Tuete had a nice solution with actual invisible balconies, but it makes the whole thing just more complicated since you have to babysit those spectators (not all of them but some).

One thing I need to make clear: I'm not gonna be the "person to hit his fist against the deck". I'm very much willing to help you out with servers, admining, making thread or whatever, but IMO you should be the driving force behind this project. You're the one who decides.

We're working on it. Teutten is making modifications on the map and then testing it, rules are pretty much agreed on (not many of em anyways  ), all that is left to decide is the best time for it, which weekend ? There are many schoolkids and students among cRPG population so I don't know what's the best possible time for it, late may or early june ? It has to be after their exams and stuff but before summertime......
