Well, guys, all I want to throw in here is that I noticed some very strong bias against archers in at least the first half of the topic, and sporadically in the rest, too.
Yes, archers often give infantry a hard time, and yes, if chadz didn't have posted it, I would have pointed out that Lestos called cRPG a shooter as well.
(Reminds me of this:
It is my opinion and this game is not a melee game. That is something most of you guys seem to forget every second minute...
)
But still you should ask yourself if you are fair in what you are doing here. Arrow weight increased from like 7 to 10, and I'd really like to know why. Were archers still able to kite? What was the reason behind the nerf? Can some of the developers tell us?
I am not an archer myself, and I think this game is about melee, but still I think archers have their justification, and believe it or not, the game would be boring without them (as the rather unsuccesful melee only server proved). Archers got nerfed again and again, and their stats are that bad now that I'd say a single archer is heavily UP. I know it's needed to keep the game in balance, as their numbers are their strength, but I brefer being a "hero" and not some kind of "expendable swarm soldier", if you understand what I mean.
Yes, it's fun to see the class you hate GTX, but if too many people GTX in general, you won't have anybody left to play with. And with the developers now being occupied mainly with their new project, the support and development of cRPG will decrease and eventually even come to a hold, on middle term at least. On long term it's already dying. So I'd recommend to check the own attitude concerning what you can contribute to the community. You profit directly from it.
