Maybe 20 questions might interest?

two main ones:

1) Is the buff invisible to us on the site?  (ie is it something that isn't being reflected on my character screen but does still exist)

and

2) Will the buff help us in Strategus?

Ok, update on my char.
Since last message i've played very little.
Two days ago, wearing the same armor set, but different weapon i got it again. I was doing pretty good. 2 hours latter, with the same armor set but different weapon, got it again.
Yesterday i got it again on the duel server, different armor set, same weapon. I was doing really bad, like 10-24 (because i fight only the best  ).
So 3 messages in 2 days, 2 in a short period of time, 1 while i was doing really bad.

b) Have you noticed anything different with your armor or weapon?  It sounds like you've gotten it 3x for armor and 3x for one of your weapons to date, which I'm guessing is what chadz was saying about 'concentrating it on the same set'.

Nope, nothing changed. For a while i thought that thing lowered the chance of items getting broken, but now i'm not that sure.
So i have no idea. I still die in one or two hits (strange armor set - head+chest, heavy strange boots, lammelar gauntlets).
Weapons: 2x german greatesword, 1x claymore and morningstar, and 1x i forgot what ).

Maybe you need to accumulate a certain number of these messages with equipment and then you can give your armor/weapons a personal, unique name.

Oh, and I have never gotten the message on my main or my alts.

ex-archer, when i am not mistaken. and yeah, "one of the best (if not THE best)" is right. level 48 before the december2010-patch, as far as i heard. and with that, the highest level i ever heard of.

Maybe your chances of getting the message increase after you've gotten it.
Kind of like when you retire you get exp bonuses or whatever, making you level faster?

Definitely seems very random. Myself and a few other regulars in TS have yet to get it while some others have randomly got the message. Still noooo clue.
