18 pierce is a total liability, not useful.

1. OP is asking about loomed weapons, so we're talking 20p here
2. With 8 power strike, 20p won't glance on anything with less than about 60 armor, unless you have a bad speed bonus or otherwise screw up
3. To me, "useful" means it generates a stun, preventing the opponent from blocking for 0.6, which gives your allies a chance to land a hit. Not to mention it's not expected, so landing the thrust may enable you to land a followup if your opponent was caught off guard.
4. On multiple siege maps, thrusting through a closed (slatted) gate is a valuable tactic for defenders, regardless of the damage done

I did 6 gens with +3 long bardiche/great long bardiche. Thrust was my go-to attack against skilled blockers, because it often surprised them and opened the door for a followup. Not to mention that it used to rear horses (long bardiche thrust no longer rears horses).

As a shielder, I fear Bardiche users more than anything (even maulers). The shorter axes/morningstar i can play the range game with, but there is no way I'm landing a hit on a bardiche user without taking at least one hit to my shield.
