There is no such thing as a kiting xbowman anymore, if any melee wants to chase you and doesn't give up, it's game over. I went from being the fastest person on the field, to just an average speed capable of outrunning a few tin cans. If you want to prove me wrong, you can get a crossbow with 10 athletics and try to "kite" anyone who is intent on killing you. You might be able to do this if you're naked, with one quiver of bolts, and no sidearm; good luck.
Well, no, I don't believe you. Even when wearing medium armor my 6 athletics leaves me in the dust when I try and chase you, and you actually, somehow, get far enough that you then reload, keep running, and shoot someone... And repeat. As for the 10THL comment, yeah, I have an alt who does just fine actually. Some people chase him down,
most people can't. There is a reason why I listed you as a specific example.
Bolts are also a lot smaller and come in less numbers than arrows. Bolt weight is already really unrealistic, and you want extra? How can you justify a morningstar weighing 3.5 while bolts weigh 6?
My justification is balance, as the Devs already have shown that justification by realism is worthless as my arrows each weigh as much as some small field artillery shells... Seriously.
How can you justify a handful of arrows weighing 10, in a retort? My statement was based purely on "Your gear weighs less and you have more points to spend on ATHL (which every crossbowman does if dedicated...) due to not having to worry about PD."
