dude, having 27 heirlooms and not having 27 heirlooms makes 54 heirlooms.
All I'm saying is there is a point where being a certain gen only benefits your ability to experiment with other builds. My example is also considering that EVERY SINGLE SLOT is filled with masterworked items. The introduction of 2-slot items in this recent patch will also reduce the realistic # of masterwork items someone is going to be wearing... I mean the average 2-H player will now probably just have 4 armor slots and 1 2-h weapon... that's 5 pieces of equipment used, or reaching gen 16 to be fully maxed on heirloomed items.
