I would like most perma-ban being replaced by a 3 months ban max (except things like hacking the game/the players), so no I'm not fine with completelly getting rid of some veterans (or new players for the same reasons).

Damn, I came in too late to watch any of the remaining drama. At least Bjord - Teeth 's verbal diahrrea war was worth it, wasn't it. As Tiberius said, it is good to ocasionally see a pair of guys that even bother to look up for some cool words to add to their speech. Resorting to the "fuck you, madman" is bleach and vague. About time the popcorn was worth it.

permamute could be great

I've always wondered why there hasn't been more preemptive or long-term muting since it seems like a lot of problems start with trash talking then escalate into teamwounding/tking etc.  People like Spookisland might have been good candidates for something like this instead of bans.

Instead of banning players for x amount of time, it might also be funny if some people were still allowed to play but were shamed or hobbled in some way.  For example, every time they typed something in chat it would appear to other players as "Hodor" or "I will not (insert name of crime that lost them their chat privileges)".  Or if there was a way give people a stat penalty so the only use practice weapons and rocks for a certain amount of time.

It is normal for everyone to rage when we die/ get hit/ get dispensed with against another player. Nowadays I bang my palm against my table whenever I get killed. My flatmates think I'm rebuilding my room :D

Even on the forums, we are all subject to bitterness. I mean, who never cussed at another player? Ever?

However, it doesn't take much to avoid looking like an ego-filled asshole. As we talked about him, take Kinngrimm as an example. He swears pretty often on TS ( well, often, let's say the 'regular swearing rate' ) yet he controls himself enough not to show bitterness on the chat.

Bjord, I read that many people see you as a nice guy. I remember that time you teamhit me twice and apologised sincerely. That moment, I thought ' wow, maybe he ain't such an asshead after all' that's all it takes !
My personal 'trick' to avoid bitterness is to compliment the other fighter for his skills. Very often , the other guy will be modest, thank you for the compliment and he will be nice to you in return.
I found out that no matter how I died, if I was killed by a guy I can laugh with, I will NEVER be bitter.
It's tough to resist and flaming is somehow satisfying, but I find that being a 'happy c-rpg carebear' is more fun, eventually.

After all, its just a game, so why should we not all enjoy it?

Anyway, take that time to enjoy life. Computer games don't lead you anywhere anyway :D

I find its best to not get personally invested when you play. You only win if your team wins, so concentrate on that and don't care about any secondary stuff. Most people play best when they stay calm and focussed, not when they're thinking about someone who killed them or that they have to kill some guy they have a grudge against.

If you have to rage, rage at yourself for failing your team because thats the end result. The actual events that led to that are probably your own fault too. Better to laugh though, I couldn't play this game if I raged.

Only time I rage is if I feel something is unfair in the game mechanics or the game is spoiled by too much ranged, or my team is making the same mistakes over and over and we get 4:0. I'd rather turn the game off than rage though, games aren't ever worth a personal investment like that. Much better to not take it too seriously than get to that point though

If you have to rage though, do it without spoiling the chat atmosphere for everyone. Keep it off the server

Grumbs, we get it - you lack a sense of humour. No need to repeat yourself.

Incoming secret code to Bjord that communists on this forum can't read.

I asked Khorin about this. He said that Bjord will have the chance to ask for unban in couple of months and if other admins agree, he'll be unbanned. Hopefully, they will agree.
