It is normal for everyone to rage when we die/ get hit/ get dispensed with against another player. Nowadays I bang my palm against my table whenever I get killed. My flatmates think I'm rebuilding my room
Even on the forums, we are all subject to bitterness. I mean, who never cussed at another player? Ever?
However, it doesn't take much to avoid looking like an ego-filled asshole. As we talked about him, take Kinngrimm as an example. He swears pretty often on TS ( well, often, let's say the 'regular swearing rate' ) yet he controls himself enough not to show bitterness on the chat.
Bjord, I read that many people see you as a nice guy. I remember that time you teamhit me twice and apologised sincerely. That moment, I thought ' wow, maybe he ain't such an asshead after all' that's all it takes !
My personal 'trick' to avoid bitterness is to compliment the other fighter for his skills. Very often , the other guy will be modest, thank you for the compliment and he will be nice to you in return.
I found out that no matter how I died, if I was killed by a guy I can laugh with, I will NEVER be bitter.
It's tough to resist and flaming is somehow satisfying, but I find that being a 'happy c-rpg carebear' is more fun, eventually.
After all, its just a game, so why should we not all enjoy it?
Anyway, take that time to enjoy life. Computer games don't lead you anywhere anyway
