Heavy xbow.

I love the heavy xbow. With ~150 wpf that thing barely feels slower than a regular crossbow.

But right now I have 180 crossbow WPF and my +3 arbalest is throwing bolts like nobody's business.

The thing that makes the Heavy better than the Arbalest (in my mind) is the lack of firing delay and the reload speed. It's just as easy to headshot with either xbow the fact that you can fire faster is and without that fucking awful delay is such an advantage.

The only real advantage the arbalest has is the extra 10 damage.

Yea and even with that extra damage it still takes 2 shots most of the time. (same as the heavy)

Jesus fuck never realized crossbows had that high of pierce damage....that's like twice as high as any melee weapon that does pierce...

Yeah but doesn't rain still like nerf half their dmg? + the long reload time = getting picked off by archers quite easily.

Because bows and weapons scale off PD and PS, xbows don't.

Ranged pierce (pierce in general really) is still too strong though, compared to nerfed cut.

I would go with arbalest, I watch Silveredge destroy with it so I imagine he thinks it the best, and ill take his word  on anything crossbow related


Honestly tho, the arbalest seems like it would help in a clutch scenario and towards the end of rounds, could definitely turn the tide when its down in the single digits for playercount.

I think you mean Heavy Crossbow, as the Arbalest sucks towards the end of the round if the enemy knows where you are, because the long reload time; you only get 1-2 shots if there are smart enemies around.

You can't reload while kiting, and kiting at the end of the round is called delaying if you aren't actively attempting to win. #gf.
