Guns are quite nasty indeed, but they actually lack in mobility except the t10 Waffenträger auf E100. As long as you keep shooting them around or on the guns though, every shot will penetrate, even if you shoot HE-ammo. Armor is maxed at about 25mm on every one of those tanks around the guns.

It's not like that TD line has anything near the armour that the first line has, anyway. I've never had issues penetrating their armour even with weaker guns.

BTW, a great video for those, that think that Warthunder is going to destroy WoT or is better or anything, made by a rather known WoT youtuber:

I have to say that WT has one HUGE selling point over World of Tanks. Stuff actually renders and not just when you spot something.

Also when WOT was new I remember the closed early beta stage, it was going for years until it got actual physics for an example.

I went back to play some WoT lately but sometimes the camouflage mechanic is just too um.. weird or something. Again I'm trying not to go "hurr durr cloaking devices" on it, I just think it's a very weird decision.

Also the 2013 stats are interesting, have you guys seen those? KV-1/KV-1S are most popular tanks of 2013 in almost every region

Without spotting mechanics, WoT would be a lame game of camp everything.

It really isn't a game of camping, a decent team with a spotter or two will pretty much always win over campers, exactly because of how spotting works.
If the videos are anything to judge by, the path of realism taken by Warthunder results in a much more campy gameplay.

KV-1 is definitely not a difficult tank to use and be effective with. KV-1S has the hardest hitting gun of tier6 heavies. KV-2 is a gimmick tank, KV-3 is very well armored, but has poor mobility, in comparison to the IS.
I myself prefer american heavies, T29 is, imo, the easiest tank to play in the game.

the russian line in general is one of the best lines(maybe a little russian bias developing).  The KV and IS are stupidly powerful, some of the best tanks for their tier.  120mm cannon in a tier 5 to 6 match makes you near unstoppable.

the medium line isnt very noteworthy in the beginning, even the t-34 is considered to be utter shit.

The t-28 is actually pretty good for its class as is the A-20.

Well, IS/KV-3 aren't as powerful anymore since Tiger I got it's rld/dpm buff. KV-1S and KV-2 are just derps and the stats are probably that way because these tanks are used a lot in Tank Companies for Tier 6, and KV-1 just because it also has a derpy gun an Tier 5.

Didn't really play the whole Medium line, I plonked into it via KV-1S and KV-13, and the latter was actually already quite fun. T-44 needs Wet Ammorack and you'll be fine, it's decent, not OP. T-54 is a beast, not more to say about it. Since I really started getting into the "how-to-drive-t54", I seldomly have games with less than 2500 dmg.

Heavy-line... IS-4 is tanky, 2500hp and good angles, but imo worse than IS-7, which just eats shells like no tomorrow (best game with over 17k pot-dmg received). Russian tanks in general are good for starters, as they are easy. Germans are the hardest imo, but very rewarding in the end. Muricans... inbetween. Good turrets, but at tier 8 underwhelming guns, so I usually go for Premium-Ammo. M103 though is one hell of a tank.

But it also was the time of ugly Pz. IV's, One-Hitting KV's everywhere and other stupid things.

Don't know what to do anymore in the game atm, got all the tanks I really wanted [E50. Patton, M103]

Guess I'll get to the T95 now firstly since I got the T28 already.
