Cost of 1 yawshan's buys you 12 stacks of darts x6 darts = 72 darts.  30 stacks of darts between 5 or so throwers could have easily gotten that 30 ticket difference.  Dont see why people are so fucking ignorant about not including throwing of some form into their army loadouts.

Also mid-level throwing is FAR better anti-cav than polearms. 1 Heavy axe from a pT5 thrower can 1 shot these shitty rouncies.  Let friendly archers use their range to pick off infantry while throwers kill any cav dumb enough to get near formations

Going to have to agree with this. Best way to counter mass pikes is throwing. Unfortunately this was not an army situation.. it was a trader caught doing somethign silly (walking next to an enemy city that needs goods dearly)

Oh well.. I have +2 heavy throwing axes on my army!

I agree about the throwing thing. In Frank le Tank's battle against KUTT last strat he specifically requested throwers, and they did a pretty good job imo.

The hundreds of champanion mamluk horses probably helped too, but still.

Though, anyone with enough strength can pick up a pike or long spear. Not so true with throwers. And it would seem that 2h heroes are more likely to hybrid with xbow than throwing (their mistake, imo).

Not my best performance at all. We had less than 100 shields, which only had about 80 health. I think the only kills I got were with a looted War Cleaver that I have 0 WPF in.

overhead, overhead & overhead. spears are easiest class for a shielder to kill

So ? its still a fail, it could be so hard to get 30 people to the battle, there are still Nords and Bashis and lots of other allied with them. And I dont think all guys with rank 5 or 10 were banned, so they could accept people.
