I know they don't look like the regular peasant scramble, but their armor stats are lower than most peasant clothes, which barely have an upkeep price. I just find it silly to put 200+ repair on clothes that are lower than most peasant armor.

You are missing the point. Take a look at real life.

Rich people don't complain about low armor values. They wear expensive clothes to seperate from lower class people.
They don't care about how protective their clothes are...

Nobody in c-RPG is a noble unless they own a fief, otherwise you are just some rich sod who possibly has a horse.

So if I own a fief and wear these clothes you will address me as "My Lord", and give me the respect a royal noble deserves? You better, elsewise I'll have your tongue.
I'm rock, nerf paper, scissors is fine. Welcome to c-RPG.

Nope, being one of the Fallen Brigade I'd tell you in no uncertain terms to go stuff yourself, and watch with dry amusement as you can't enforce your threats of taking my tongue. You'd be a noble, possibly rich, possibly poor, but I would not care one whit.
I'm not normal and I don't pretend so, my approach is pretty much a bomb crescendo.
Death is a fun way to pass the time though, several little bullets moving in staccato.
The terror of my reign will live on in infamy, singing when they die like a dead man's symphony.

Tell me Riddaren, since when in this modern age did rich people wear expensive non-protecting armor?

You know the medieval age is over right?

Got your tongue! Silly little rascal. Next time you'll watch your words.

Everything else you say after this in this thread will be read as "sadfdhfgdgdfg" as you have no tongue.

You know the medieval age is over right?

Rich people wear clothes with an extreme emphasis on form over function. That is why they are so expensive despite having no real value in a fight. The armor rating is low because a wedding dress (for example) is not at all designed for combat.

You are taking this silly thing very seriously.

The expensive clothes in cRPG are not armor, which you seem to believe. They are clothes.

Never. I shant be ordered around by a mere COMMONER.

Not but in all seriousness, the upkeep on the items really isn't THAT bad, I'm sure you can afford it. If you really can't, I'll donate you a few thousand as I'm a generous NOBLE with many a splendid coin.

As my first post stated, I only said that I think the price you have to pay for the armor value is a bit silly, and that it would be fun to use them as a low level char. which can't really do much the first levels.

The expensive clothes in cRPG are not armor, which you seem to believe. They are clothes.

The webpage clearly say its armor, having the "Body armor" stats shown, and the body armor mark on the shop

You fail to appreciate my many real life holdings and titles, serf!

Also noble =/= being a lord,  traditionally the nobility were made up of landed aristocracy but the two are not mutually inclusive and i belive the same goes for Calradia.
