Dhirim is intended as a quite rich zone that attracts all the factions but that can't be well defended by any of them. Swadians own it at start because swadia has the worst geopolitic situation in warband, having to go to war with all the other factions regularly (but that's also why they have the strongest cav + inf combined forces).

True. Swadia almost always did poorly in my games.

I actually liked having Dhirim as my first fief. It was the fief that seemed closest to being the center of the map. Made sense to me that I would have my capital at the center with a goal of uniting all the factions under my banner.

Swadians are probably the best, but having an vaegir marksman army is awesome too. I like Rhodoks and Nords aswell..

my personnal guard was 20 slaver chief... mauling everyone on horse was epic!!

also sword sister are just badass!!

and when you recruit them they are already high level!!

(yes I was a greedy marchant for the first level, then a slave seller when I had more place, then a faction loyal guy who conquier lot of place, and finally a king who have to destroy his old BIG faction.... oh and I always kill khergit first... they suck so bad at siege xD)

I like the nordic gear and weapons options. Allthough any faction with 2handers as a pick is op.

For some reason i am draw towards the Rhodoks for unexplainable reasons, i suppose it might just be i like the colour green. I also take a note of capturing Durrin Castle from the Sarranids as in my opinion it is the best fortification in the game due to the fact its on a big hill and armies have to go all the way round the back to scale the walls.

Swadians because of their big similarity to the Germans/Holy Roman Empire (just look at their weapon like the Ahlspieß,Guard and Topfhelmet)

and ofc the Nords with their superior infantry if you combine swadian cav and nord inf you r the man in siege and land battles

Rhodoks in sieges. The fucking sergeants and Rhodok snipers are just amazing.

Swadians in field battles, the knight/inf combo was solid.

Khergs are bad, Sarranids are bad, Nords have OK(Best) infantry. Vaegirs are decent.

4   -  Rodoks

Others are shit.

Nords have cheat throwing axes with 4 per slot. You can crush enemies shields with them. GLA is pretty OP!
Vaegir have GLB extreme power with crazy reach.
Swads are great too Great long sword stab is really OP!
