I only care about people being on a level playing field. If some do stuff like this and there is nothing officially wrong with it, then I don't think it should be kept as a secret advantage for certain players to use. It should be available to all. Or it should be discouraged by the devs/admins with a clear message about client modding. The big thread about a certain player who had posted about how he removes bushes was eventually locked with the reason "pointless witch hunt". No comment about the general discussion about modding which the majority of the discussion was on, and nothing I can find when it comes to rules on modding in general.

I argued that stuff like this falls under the common sense rule, that its not allowed. But the way the thread was locked left me with mixed feelings on the issue

Lame that you can edit these things client side, and it can't be forced on the server side.  You basically have to cheat if you want to be on the same page as some players.

So while I'm struggling to see around 8 foot high grass someone can just stroll by like it's an open field and cut me down.  Sounds fun.

I will still NOT be editing my graphics in this game to edit any models.  I'm okay being at a disadvantage if people really feel the need to change their models to give them the upper hand.

Not gonna explain the method. It will not save alot of fps, the bushes are still there, its just a different, simpler model. Might save you 1 mb of gpu ram...

Hmm sorry I was not clear earlier. I ment that first time you see enemy through those pushes that gives you the unfair advantage. You can then see where enemy is going from there and he does not have that advantage. But well.. I have heard that some people have even disabled all textures to get them the best advantage.
