I heard that Baltics at the start of the 90s were kinda same. You could get a bomb, mine or AK from your local market for less than about 1€(less inflation that time and converted to €). Nowadays most of us young people here have hardly even ever seen a firearm before, stuff changed fast with just 22 years.

I... don't think so. No. That didn't happen. Baltics, however, had problems with organised crime at the start of 90s, that did happen and they probably had good access to various soviet weaponry.

Well there have been some sayings how vendors sold detenators with bombs quite cheap and how weapons were easly bought. Organised crime was yea, the main reason.

In Balkans in the early nineteens, and later, just after big anti-Gov riots in Albania where majority of army weapons was plundered during riots (there was a news story about a guy having a tenk T-55 in his backyard) the price of Kalashnikov was never under 100 DM, while bombs (hand grenades) were around 10 DM.
I mean, what have you got to lose? You know, you come from nothing, you're going back to nothing, what have you lost? Nothing!
