The problem is, most of the items I have, I use on one of my characters. So I usually end up being very resistant to giving them away and just wait for some insane deal where I make a huge profit

I just saw 34 pages of bumps and wanted to give you a little shit, then I looked at your front page and was surprised by how much you have for sale/trade

If I didn't use every one of my loomed items on my main I'd probably get into the trading business, but I have everything loomed that I want to use already, so I think I would be unhappy getting equipment that isn't as good as what I'm already using

I have the same problem. Every time I buy something I just kinda want, I get something I actually want in 1 or 2 profit trade and end up not trading it anymore.
