Dun give a frick about freedictionary.com!
It was merely the first one that popped up on the google search. I'm not one for putting effort into sourcing while in my own clan thread! On top of that, I've never had to source the meaning of a word before, I assume that "freedictionary.com" is like wikipedia in that regard?
Also the "see also goal" part, I assume you typed that quote in yourself, and therefore... apply your inaccurate quip to your typing skills. If not, unless there is some hidden meaning of "goal", it's not even close to being a gaol... Well, I guess if someone gets trapped in the net it would be close...
However, as that appears to be a translation dictionary, I'm bloody glad that it gives the British form as well as the American one. I respect Americans and their language, even their horrendous pronunciation of "aluminium" but I really dislike it when someone tries to correct me to an Americanism, especially in Britain, by a Brit.
I suppose I should write a stern letter about it... Now where's my tea and quill?
