With these specs, I dont think it would be necessary for me to play with it, but strangely, I have to

I tryed myself dx9 and dx7 tonight in eu7 and fps drops were the same.
I would even say dx7 was even worse then dx9.

my pc is super machine for warband but in crpg in dx9 i have huge fps drop, I use dx7 because of FPS

I'm just very, very afraid if dx7 disappears.. My laptop, which is OK and fine tuned for cRPG with the best of my knowledge creates a strange form of input delay under dx9. Even when fps is OK or similar to DX7.

Just to throw in an argument to keep DX7, I think many warband players play it because its old and old hardware is what they have...

So if it must be dx9 only, please make it work beautifully, or i will cry..

I can't keep DX7, because that would imply it's already there in the first place.
While that might be the case in Warband, adjusting it to work with the new client/WSE would mean rewriting pretty much all of it.

But then please make some extremely low res textures option or other tweaks so it can be run on older systems.

I, and I guess many others value gameplay smoothness (stable 60fps) far far more than graphics.

I like DX7 better because DX9 puts too much stress on my eyes. It feels better to hav it on DX7 with high performance settings.

The reason I play with DX7 is because I don't like how DX9 looks
The whole setting is too dark, the shadows and scenery while the metals are too shiny
I just want to be able to slaughter people in a sunny day with a summer feel to it

Lolwut? I have a computer that is much worse and can run on dx9 all settings maxed with 120 FPS.

I have dual core processor and i still need to use force single threading,because if it is not checked i get some freezez. I had same problem with l4d.
So it doesn't matter what are the specs,there is always something that will bug,or hardware we buy is maybie some shit class.

-DX9 looks like pretentious shit, strains the eyes, like some asshole said 'hey guys, let's turn up the specularity!' fuck you whoever that guy was.

DX7 swords look like plasticene until the final boss stuff is applied (not sure what is actually applied lately). It's kind of washed out but that's a plus.
