It's already plenty for us europeans to know where U.S.A. exactly is, whereas they have BIG trouble pointing out UK, France, Germany and Australia on a world map.
Thing is, geography classes in european countries is "country's name", "Europe" and the big powers "USA, China".
But when you learn history, you learn your countrie's wars, and the two WW.
I believe american's geography teaches about the US states. So many of them.
And history is about their independance and WW.
I'm quite impressed at how much i learned at school and still remember (like Florida used to be French, but they sold it because they needed gold for their wars, i wonder how many americans know about this.)
