Corwin Id start with a simple asian broth. Its pretty simple, take 10 mins.
- Get a heat a pan of water to simmering, put in a chicken stock cube. Let it dissolve.
- Add some lemongrass, red or green chili, some soy or fish sauce, some ginger root, and whatever other spices appeal to you. Cut up the chilli and ginger root pretty finely, I wouldnt add more than one chili unless you like it really hot. Bash the lemongrass thoroughly before you put it in, to get more flavour out.
- Let it simmer for 5 minutes or so. Be careful not to boil, or you will boil the flavour out.
- Add some vegetables, I would suggest pak choi, and maybe grated carrot.
- Simmer for another 3 minutes.
- Add some king prawns, they can be frozen, it just takes a bit longer to heat them.
- Wait a little longer, and the prawns should be nice and pink when cooked, Take one out and cut it open to check, if its hot on the centre, its coooked.
- Get a bowl, and put in a good bed of rice noodles. I wouldnt use any other kind, they ruin the taste.
- Pour the broth ontop, and enjoy.
It takes a few goes to get it perfect, as you need to find how you like it spiced. Be careful not to overpower the lemongrass with too much soy/fish sauce. If its not strong enough taste, put it on low heat and let it evaporate slowly.
Also another thing, for a few months now I eat sushi for lunch instead of a sandwich and a drink. Its usually pretty cheap and doesnt taste half bad,you can buy it from nearly all supermarkets. Doesnt compare to sushi in a proper sushi bar unfortunately.
As for boxing, you need a punchbag that hangs from the ceiling preferably, or a good tower one with a base full of sand or water. If you are just using it to lose weight, you dont really need to know any proper techniques. So long as you know how to properly punch. Jabs with your left, followups and hooks with your right. Or vice versa if your left is stronger.
There's several ways of going about training. You can set a pattern for youself, such as, I must do 100 repititions of ' left, left, right'. Or even better, you can get someone to call the strikes out for you, because its very easy on your own to slip into bad habits, like punching more with your right when your left gets tired. If you dont want to do either of those, you can just call your own punches, but its very easy for your mind to wander, and get into the bad habits I just mentioned. If you do this, I would get a playlist of say...30 mins of music, to focus yourself, and you only can rest when you have played through the whole list.
Hope it helps.
