the secret to not going broke is to man up and put away the metal armour and fight in pajamas.

I haven't been playing crpg for a while because I bought with fire and sword and napoleonic wars. I started playing again a couple days ago. my bank is busted on repairs or my gear gets trashed. In defend the virgin repairing a throwing axe and shield was 800 a round! Is that normal? kinda redick
Dtv totally unbalanced concerning upkeep. You pay way too much upleep in Dtv. Try rageball if you have some athle , you will make ton of money!

How do you menage to make gear setup under 30k? it seems so wrong.

my gear set.

-lordly archons armor
-red wisby gauntlets
-mw KAS
-masterpiece elite cav shield
-guard helmet and splintered greaves

47h 50b 43l
Armor
1/4
Slots
28,094 gold
Cost
1,963 gold
Upkeep (max)

and this is just normal setup, everything under 50 armor is 2 hits and you are dead. What i wanted to say is that i am not loosing money, but i am not gaining maoney, unless i get x5,and that is happening once in day and it lasts for 2 minuts.
Every time i play i have x1,

36,747 gold worth of gear, gain money at a respectable rate. Think I gained about 10k today, played for like 2-3 hours.

Rumour has it that wearing daggers in your extra slots reduces the chance of the other items breaking, only if you don't have 1h wpf though. I've seen the break formula and it makes no sense at all, but my entire clan assured me it works. I like how it looks so there is no reason not to for me.

Or join a clan that can ensure a good multiplier, in my case that probably helps. If you are EU join HRE for siege and Byzantium for battle :P.

i noticed one thing if you wear gear that is very cheap items will brake every round. 3 items per round, but if you wear something arround 30k 1 item will brake per round ,if you wear even more expencive gear you should not pay the repairs almoust everytime.
I noticed too that hen you have some shitty item it reduces chances  of repairs. Head armor, hand armor brakes rarely, usualy body armor or swords or shields get repaired often. SO if you continue to push gear cost it will brake every thime, and you will loose a lot of money.
somwhere arround 40k gear will not brake that often. That dudes who wear heavy armors and gs they can afford that because of this. I always wondered how they do that, but when i tried i was suprised how low repairs are.

This wasnt always the case though. Was it an update, my characters level, or how much gold Ive accumulated that triggered the high cost of repairs? Ive heard all 3 reasons.

My main became cav this gen, and I was surprised that I don't loose as much money as I supposed, having 60k gear cost. Without my horse (36k total gear cost) I dont loose money at all, though I don't earn it either.

One of the secret ways to reduce number of gaysworders is increased upkeep on two most popular swords, Danish and German. They repair all the time, much more than any other weapons.

Anecdote or fact?

I have almost the exact same total gear worth as you and I earn a lot of money. Don't know why. Might be because I have a very high average multiplier :/
This game isn't about being skillful as much as its about saying things in general chat that enrage people who then go to murder you but in their rage they make dumb mistakes which gets them killed.

Sell  Looms, Ignore upkeep.

Not that it was much of an issue ever if you spent and wore within your means for a gen, or seven in my case, but it's true. If you want to just go all out and wear the heaviest armor you own every time then just sell a loom point and basically never worry about it again.
And how!
