Yea, but now it is totally doable and quite accesable because vikingr resources are open to the community.
Anyone who played that mod know how epic that thing is.

Perhaps add option in menu for gore or no gore, so kids don't get traumatized by all the flying heads?

Both sounds more fun

I feel a 1 handed axe is more likely to take off a head than a sword.
Maybe make it for cut weapons and dependent on weight?

Well, I know it looked quite awesome because it was my clan's mod and I had to play it alot  :mrgreen:.
Way more realistic than native, with some badass features like this one.
Too bad the mod went to shit...

Decapitation certainly wouldn't happen with a 1 hander.

Won't happen with 2h too, unless the target is in the fixed position (ie, on the ground or against the wall) and you hit unprotected neck with enough force.

I dont need this in crpg, and frankly dont want it. Crpg is for all ages near enough, so sorry if im old fashioned but dont want little children seeing decapitation in the game.
Smooth is the admin NA deserves. Not being that much better, EU deserves Thomek.

Dismembering corpses would be fun, but i'm concerned about performance so i'd rather have good gameplay feature instead.

I like the idea. However, I think it would make it even more awesome if it were restricted to the last guy alive in the battle server. So last guy on a team can be decapitated and can deliver them to enemies. Would make end round duels freaking epic.

If it were happening all the time during a battle or siege, it would just get excessive and cause a bad lack of taste i think. This idea for restricting it to last man standing is just an attempt to treat the bigger problem of taste brought on by introduction of gore. Its a happy middle between both extremes of the argument.

Even if it's toggleable like...I dunno...corpses, blood splatter, the majority of the chat being full of people cussing about and calling each other bundle of stickss and any number of other insults they can imagine?
