Open item_kinds1.txt, replace Faradon_twohanded1 with Faradon_twohanded2 or vice versa.

Okay I replaced the model of the Danish with the German. I equipped both. Pressed my next weapon button a random amount of times. Then swung around with both until I thought one of them was slower, dropped it, if it was the Danish I was right.

I got 14/20. That is ofcourse possible by chance, but especially considering I havent played 2h for ages now and I lost the quite accurate feel I have for my main weapons in the case of the Danish, its quite a high rate of success. Most of the times were I was really convinced one was slower I got it right, but sometimes I had no clue.

I would like someone who has used a Danish for some time to try this. It is ofcourse a very subtle difference if there is one, so you need to concentrate.

the best test is if a German user uses a Danish, he will immediately say that it is slower.

I always immediately thought to notice the German being faster, its the same thing.

Tested by printing the time taken for ready+release directly from the engine.
With 1 WPF, both swords take ~1.124573 seconds to do a right swing.

Feints use the ready animation, so a difference would affect that time as well.

nothing new, our brains play tricks to us. Especially when you make test like these:
the best test is if a German user uses a Danish, he will immediately say that it is slower.

How come the nodachi is still unusable on horse? History records show the Japanese samurais used them on horses AND even threw them at the enemy as it hit multiple targets.

How come Danish is unusable on horse? You could couch these things.
Best ban reason ever:
Quote from: Wookimonsta
I checked, the only Vagabond I found was Wolves_Vagabond_TheCruel, that guy is now unbanned. Ban reason was: "calling Zotte a cockswoggler".

it because german blade
in fight is way harder to see that tihinbllade
all
Translation:

The blade of German Greatsword is the reason.
It is harder to follow the blade of the German Greatsword because it is very thin. Sword seems to be faster then.
This is the real reason.

Also I had both swords +3 and tested them.
They are same speed. You might feel german GS faster but that's bullshit and not really happening. also try moving left so your body turns left and then make right swing. Your whole body will just change direction and this makes your moves look faster as well. There are a few things that make weapon seem faster.
