The copying going on in alien spaceship design is so intense that for any possible design one could find dozens of "inspirations", it has become rather pointless to do so.

they gave everyone 1k certs yesterday to test some stuff.  But they fucked it several times and my main ended up getting 3k cert points.  Also with the changes to flak, air was EVERYWHERE.  Some of the best battles of beta so far, definitely the most interesting seeing a good mix of ALL specs; infantry, ground vehicles & air.

Engies protecting areas with mines, maxes fairly powerful and specialized, air formations making strafing runs on tank columns, HA's keeping enemy tanks behind cover w/lock on AV.
Only thing that seems underpowered is liberators still and galaxy gunship was neigh useless.  Velocity of the mortar units is awful

Yeah, personally i feel unless either SOE or the commnity better encourage combined arms operations the balancing will just result in a continual buff/nerf cycle.

ya they go overboard with the pendulum type balancing, either too powerful, too weak...takes too long to find just right.  Whats funny is they literally probably could have copied/rewritten 80% of PS1 code, just update the map, interface and a few mechanics.

lots of the veteran PS1 clans are going very easy so they dont burn out, just waiting for actual release.

Didn't play for a while and decided to have a little play yesterday and all I've got to say is, underbarrel grenade launcher is awesome, I basically play strictly Engineer and using that with an ammo pack = infinite grenades to launch, which are pretty damn powerful and I rained some hell down on approaching Infantry lol.

I didn't play for quite some time now, just tested Amerish a bit. Trying not to overdo it before the actual release, just saving myself for it. No point in playing so much while it is still in beta.
