Like religious leadership voted in a more or less democratic process? Like most wars in human history? Like fun stuff as waterboarding? Guantanamo? Hiroshima? Nagasaki? Crashing stock markets?

Religion is somewhat separated from leadership in USA dont agree with u there. But the other part I agree. I dont get why some citizens in USA want religion to be connected to the goverment soo baddly. Its kinda crap. Didnt we in Europe already tried that once. Middle ages, where guys just slashed a big red cross on their white coats and yelled God alot so they could plunder other civilizations they knew very little about. Such a controversial thing as religion will always be an excuse for people to start more wars. Better keep it separated from the goverment, otherwise USA is gonna look like the Middle-East fast.

Its because the part of the country that tried to secede in the civil war, the "South" is basically a third world country where the plebs would prefer to be ruled by a christian theocracy as long as they guaranteed to kill all gays, blacks, and immigrants, and enforce their own version of western sharia law.

A great deal of the country definitely doesn't share those views, but hey these guys vote Republican so its in some politicians' best interest to appease the bumblefuck regressive hicks.

To respond to some criticisms:

Nuclear bombing in WW2 is no different then what any air force would've done to end the war sooner for their nation, the RAF and Luftwaffe bombed civilian targets every chance they got.  America was just the best at it.  Of course that doesn't make it right, but.. deal with it.

Also, accusing the USA of the most wars in human history?  Haha, what?  I think credit can go to the British Empire for that one, shitting up the world for hundreds and hundreds of years.  America's only been in the business of fucking with shit nations halfway across the world for the past 50 years, not the past 500.

This is true tbf, although 500 years is an exaggeration, Britain just took over from France after Napoleon the same way the USA took over from Britain after the First World War. The first concentration camps were British and 'we' did terrible stuff in Africa and Asia towards the end of the 19th Century.

America weren't the best at bombing during WW2, just the most advanced technologically. What Britain did to Dresden without any nuclear weapons was pretty horrific.

America did to Japan what the RAF did to Dresden to pretty much every city in the country.  On top of an extremely successful blockade that led to either the incineration or starvation of millions of civilians.

If you want to listen to an excellent podcast about the philosophy behind total war and strategic bombing campaigns and its escalation through WW2, I recommend Dan Carlin's latest hardcore history podcast.  Check out all of his stuff if you like it, he has some fascinating pieces.
