I used it with 3 riding and it was a very good horse. Champion Rouncey is probably the most cost-efficient horse in the game. It can take a few hits, it is fast enough to outrun all heavy cav and most light cav, and it has pretty good maneuver. Not to mention you can use it every round, even if you are on x1, and still make money.
