Nice1 Logen.

I just remembered another great movie "Enemy at the gates". Don't know how good ratings it got but I loved the movie and I never look at the ratings anyhow...

Anyone seen this one? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5FMZDtpMFqk&feature=fvwp&NR=1
Seems quite interesting... Finally a decent western after over a decade? I believe when I see it though...

Flesh & Blood is a classic.. Haven't seen open range, but heard its awesome.

You want good action? Seen John Woo's hard boiled? Awesomeness.

Also, Takeshi Kitano have made some great films. My favorite is Hana-Bi. Also, long time ago I watched some yakuza films by japanese director Sabu. Dangan Runner, Monday and Postman Blues are worth a watch.

Three similarly themed movies I find interesting:

Cannibal Holocaust

Apocalypse Now Director's Cut

Men Behind the Sun

Cannibal Holocaust' and Apocalypse Now (like Far Cry 2 btw) uses the old litterary motif from Joseph Conrad's book of 1902 'Heart of Darkness', serving as a sober comment on Western imperial and colonial mindset and mechanisms, and how easily the thin crust of civilization (illusory or otherwise) gives in to savagery. The Director's Cut of 'Apocalypse Now' adds the massacres of civilians cencorship omitted (among other scenes).

Men Behind the Sun is a Hong Kong movie showing the history of Unit 731, a covert warfare research and development unit of the Imperial Japanese Army, and the atrocities commited here, mostly chemical and biological experimentation on prisoners, and how - like in chocolate chip cookie Germany or Cold War US - this kind of science is morally justified as part of the war effort.

Cannibal Holocaust and Men Behind the Sun are basically horror movies.

@Thomek, if you like Trier and haven't seen it I must recommend the original (Danish) version of 'Riget/the Kingdom'.

Cannibal Holocaust?Man you serious?

That Movie belongs to the wave of Cannibal Movies at those times and it´s only aim was pretty much to be as shocking as it could lol.

Real Animal - killings and stuff...The Cannibals rape the bitch before they eat her and shit :D

Man that crap was some seriously fucked up stuff.

And not Horror at all.

It´s more like a snuff Film.

Dont watch it if you aren´t into violence, and even if you are, better watch it with some friends so you can laugh at all that shit.
Maybe it woud be better for me to find out where you life and kill you when you are satch a Soziopath. You have enough now.

Iron Sky was quite funny but still not that good, and pretty short too. Yet on Finnish scale it was gold lol (omfg multi-million budget). I hope Finnish movie industry will shine some day...

"The Dark knight" - That  Joker is just soo legendary, the movie sticks that character in there and its not silly but scary as hell.

"Pulp fiction"
"Reservoir Dogs"
"Inglorious basterds"
"Rock n Rolla"
"Scarface"
And ofcourse the prime of all movies and the king of shit all at the same time, a movie that is soo bad that its acctually good: "The Room".....Tommy Wiseau.....oh dear god.
