So out of boredom of no horror games to try (I have some not finished yet but oh well) I decided on buying the fear bundle on steam.

Anyway after playing fear for a couple of hours (Can click my sig to see I'm not lying) I'll just say that I haven't even get 1 scare... 1!!!! even dead island gave me some scares thanks to their laziness. (Talking about how they made the sound come always from both headphones instead from only the left headphone if said zombie is coming from the left... This made you look 360 degrees to see where the noise is coming from every time.)

So I stand by what I said earlier fear is more shooter than horror. (Hopefully fear expansions and fear 2/3 have more shit instead of always having to fight.)

Well, back in 2005 when the first FEAR's demo was released and you get to that ladder, I did jump a bit.

F.E.A.R can be pretty scary...There are moments that can pull down your pants unprepared.And in the right mood.

When playing fear I get that sound indicating the girl or the other guy is showing so I start looking 360 degress to see where it's coming from and lose the thing.

It happens far too often it's annoying.

Anyway in the expansion there are more shit, the story was crap if you can even call it a story.. and something I didn't like is there were A LOT more soldier fights even tough they shouldn't even work since

In the expansion they tried too hard to scare you that I was yawning every time. (Tough there was some potential on scares if they put some more attention on the scare factor rather than the soldier fights..)

I remember being genuinely scared playing the (old - from 2001) Alien vs Predator 2 alone in the evenings...
It has a really tense, lonely and kinda pressuring atmosphere throughout.

And for its age it has some remarkable directing. The whole thing got only better when you play the second campaign as an alien.
I liked it more than System Shock...

I am talking about the old one though mind you. Not the newer produced crap.

AvP and AvP2. Not that new one, the new one is completely rubbish.

I played the new one.

Finished the marine campaign then started the predators but they are so damn weak and those damn finishing moves take so much to complete you remain there vulnerable from every random enemy firing or attacking and 95% of the time you die...... This made me lose interest in completing their side of the story. (Even tough I was kinda waiting for the predator and alien side of the story.)
