Sometimes I hate not being able to code and being crap with photoshop and the like :(
This game isn't about being skillful as much as its about saying things in general chat that enrage people who then go to murder you but in their rage they make dumb mistakes which gets them killed.

I've always found that it is easiest to learn when you have a goal to work towards when learning.  However my own projects are always far too ambitious and therefore doomed to failure, whilst it would be unfair to try and tag along on someone elses project since I have nothing to offer in return for learning the ropes with them :(

Since KUTT got into Strategus so late in this season, we're just now somewhat caught up with the rest of NA clans, mind you, most of them have been in some sort of war or conflict that has set them back but aside from losing Uslum in the Great War, we are finally rebuilt to a point that we have our own Fief, 10 fully-armed raiding members, and have 90% of our roster actively logging in to make sure they're doing the right thing in Strategus and also raiding and joining in fights.

I did them first in photoshop but that turned out to be the wrong tool for that job (outlines overlapping, not "jagged" enough). If someone wants to help with that and knows Inkscape (or wants to learn it, quite easy) let me know.

"We" are still working on strategus v2 (=same functionality but improved UI + cleaned up code base). Progress slowed down because i got tired of it after working on it alone for months. We got a new dev member recently (MrIlluminati) that wants to work only on strategus, so we will see how that works out.

Good stuff! Just want to let you know how much I appreciate hearing from you guys! I think I speak for everyone here. So seriously, thanks!

MrIllum knows his stuff, glad you picked him up.

The goal of Strategus battles shouldnt be to deprive your enemies of players, but to have full roster both sides and have the gear/tactics/strategy win the day rather than lack of merc support.

I for one would like to say I hat Harald, how dare he keep this thing afloat! How dare he! In other news, thank you very much Harald.

Also I hate to beat a dead cat but can you foresee a change in the crafting system any time in the near/seminear future?
Fammi un pompino!

Good news everybody! It's not nut cancer :)
Bad news everybody, I got dumped :(

EDIT: Found the proper way of doing it.

Do you want the borders to match the edges of the rivers with a gap for the river or to go down the center of the rivers?

Adobe Illustrator? Or you can do it in ArcGIS (there you could easily make topology rules too to prevent overlapping etc)...then export into eps or any other vector format? Or what do you need specifically?

I did actually look at some GIS tools, but i found them really complicated and didn't know where to start. In the end i went with Inkscape because it is easy and free (i don't own Illustrator).
