I swore I wouldn't post on these forums but I feel this is a needed exception if you are being sincere. If not just go ahead and ignore the following text.
Why do you play cRPG? It is a place for you to compete and fulfill a psychological need for rank in society. The game is highly skill based, and it is a way to subconciously "prove" who/what you are. The absolute best way to ween yourself away is to replace this with a sport. Not only does it fill the psychological need for competition, it can also fulfill many other needs. The need to belong to a team(cRPG provides this as well but not the same as real human interaction), and also exercise is the BEST WAY TO RELIEVE stress. It causes your body to produce many needed chemicals for psychological well being. Diet is incredibly important as well(stop eating fast food). If you really want to beat the shit out of something, get a punching bag. Keep your hands up like a boxer, and go to town until you cant swing any more. Second, getting mad when you try and lose is GOING TO HAPPEN in all realms of your life. There will always be some one better/luckier, and thats why the world records keep getting broken. The important thing is to learn, get the fuck back up, and keep fighting.
While cRPG can provide some fulfillment, it is a game. There is nothing applicable in cRPG to real life(all games unles you are the .01% that goes pro) , so if you cannot accept that you are wasting time while playing then just stop now. A sport will provide far more for your needs than any current video game can. Maybe once the tech gets to virtual reality, who knows? Sell your PC for now or accept it is a waste of time.
Shame on most of you for your responses. Your ignorance is shocking to be polite....
